About the team & opportunity

It’s rare in tech to be able to work for a company that has created a category and is used by millions of people. Calendly is one of a very few tech brands that has broken through into the mainstream zeitgeist. But our vision is so much bigger than scheduling and we need a world class VP Brand & Product Marketing who can reposition the company through incredible storytelling and campaign execution. This is a truly unique opportunity to not only be the steward of a beloved brand but also fully reimagine it. The decision to bring product marketing and brand together under one leader is also critically important as repositioning the product and brand are inextricably linked. This leader has the opportunity to have a major impact on the future of Calendly as a result.

A day in the life of a VP Brand & Product Marketing at Calendly

On a typical day, you will be working on:

  • Story Definition: defining and refining our story from our mission, to our solution and all the way down to the product feature level. Crafting a compelling aligned story across our messaging hierarchy
  • Customer & Marketing insight: you will be a key source of insight to help product and marketing leadership in defining our product and story through the customer lens
  • Integrated Campaign execution: turn our story into an integrated roadmap of campaigns that are delivered with creativity to cut through the noise and actually shift the perception of our brand
  • Campaign Channel management: you will directly own the execution of campaigns through ‘brand channels’ like comms, social and our content properties like our blog. You will partner with our growth and sales teams to execute those campaigns through paid and sales channels creating a truly 360 campaign execution. Given we want to fully reposition Calendly this will also include more traditional brand channels like out of home as appropriate
  • Brand Creative: you will be responsible for a creative design and copy team who will define, refine and execute our brand through delivering the creative assets that fuel our campaigns.
  • Team Management: you will be responsible for a team of 20+ wonderful marketers. Ensuring they are highly motivated and executing at a world class level is critical if we are to achieve our bold ambitions

What do we need from you?

  • 10+ years as a leader in brand and product marketing discipline managing multi-layered teams
  • Experience working for a brand that has achieved scale ($100m+ ARR)
  • Product Marketing: an expert in how to take innovative new products to market
  • Brand Marketing: an expert in how to build brands and campaigns that cut through
  • Someone who can balance creativity with structured strategic thinking
