About Valence
Valence is building the world’s most powerful chemistry engine, unlocking new therapeutic options for previously intractable diseases.
Valence is spun out of Mila, the world’s largest deep learning research institute, and we maintain close ties with world class scientists such as Prof. Yoshua Bengio, who we count among our scientific advisors. You can find a subset of our work in top journals and conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, and ACS.
We have developed the world’s only AI technologies for low/no data drug design, allowing us to very efficiently transfer existing knowledge of drug-target interactions to new regions of biological and chemical space, even in situations where data may be small, sparse, or nonexistent. With support from some of Canada’s top investors, our team currently consists of software engineers, machine learning engineers, deep learning specialists, bioinformaticians, computational biologists and molecular biologists. We also work closely with leading research institutions and pharmaceutical companies, and currently have multiple programs underway in oncology, central nervous system diseases, and more.
We believe that every new medicine will soon be designed and optimized using AI, unlocking faster iteration and ultimately more efficacious medicines for a broader and more diverse set of patients. Valence is building the platform to make this future a reality.
