We're looking for a UX Writer to join our team at Republic! You will be part of the marketing team but work in close collaboration with the product team and growing UX research team.

As a UX Writer at Republic, you will develop clear and clever messaging for our website and mobile app, which are used by 1.5M+ members. Your work will directly impact our users’ experience and journey. You will need to help our users orient themselves in a new investment space and motivate them to learn more about investment opportunities and Republic.

What you'll do:

Write interface copy
Motivate the user to push the "Learn more" button
Formulate complex legal and financial notions in a simple, approachable way
Write short, snappy headings and subheadings, building the messaging hierarchy in order to communicate the idea to the user
Help lead our users along onboarding, learning, investing, and follow-up flows and helps them reach their goals
Never agree to "good enough" copy provided by project stakeholders

Our ideal candidate:

Has full professional or native proficiency in English
Knows the elements of style, marketing copy, modern usage, grammar, and punctuation
Has some experience writing for UX in the financial/investing sphere
Understands our industry
Understands sound design principles, even though they're not a designer themselves
Works well in a distributed team
