UX Writer | Freelance

We’re looking for an experienced freelance UX Writer to join our R&D center in TLV.

In this position, as an hourly consultant, you'll work alongside our product teams. 

What you'll do:

1. Work with product teams to establish the voice of each of Via’s products and codify this as part of our design system.
2. Work with our global operations teams as well as directly with our users (transit agencies, city managers, riders and drivers) to research who our users are and how/why they’re using our products in order to inform your UX writing.
3. Work closely with product managers and designers (as well as developers) to define a workflow and incorporate UX writing into each stage of the product development process.
4. Write clear, concise, on-brand product copy for new products and features and initiate projects to review and improve all existing copy in the product.
5. Work as an individual contributor and, eventually, build out and manage a team while continuing to do hands-on work.
6. Measure the impact of your UX writing and make decisions using AB tests and other data-driven approaches to impact analysis.

3. You're excited by the prospect of making UX writing indispensable at Via
4. You understand that great UX writing depends as much on knowing how to manage your projects, and how to work with designers, product managers, and developers, as it does on being a good writer.
5. You care way more about creating great products than you do about getting credit.
6. You have 3+ years experience both working hands-on and managing a team (directly or indirectly).
