We’re searching for a smart, collaborative UX Writer to work with the Checkout/Payments team and write product copy for our consumer-facing app, and team with other UX writers on content design. In this role, you will influence messaging, tone, and the overall experience of millions of users, with high-visibility and high-impact. You will work closely with product designers, product managers, UX researchers, and software engineers to help our business and customers succeed.
*This will be a contract assignment of 6-12 months with potential to go full time. Benefits are available through our talent partner.
What you'll be doing:
Write for a strategic area of Wish, providing both content design and UX writing
Use content design, research, data science, and knowledge of interaction design guidelines and UX design best practices to write microcopy that enriches the experience of over 500 million Wish users
Document your content design strategy and share your content breakdown in critique sessions with other UX writers
Work closely with product designers, product managers, UX researchers, and software engineers to improve the Wish product
Educate cross-functional partners on the role of UX writing and content design
Build upon and help maintain adherence to our product style guide
1-2 years of experience in UX writing
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
UX writing portfolio showcasing in-app copy for mobile design product features
Organized, detailed, self-motivated, collaborative team player with a positive attitude
Understand the integral value content design brings to product design
Understand UX writing best practices for content design of consumer-facing web and mobile apps
Experience at an e-commerce or digital marketplace company a plus
Experience with rapid iteration at a high-growth company preferred
Ability to write creatively in a data-driven environment
Ability to participate in the UX research process and content testing
