Changing the way language learning is done is a great opportunity to have a wide-reaching impact – we are looking for a UX Researcher to join our User Insights Team and support our Growth cluster!
As a UX Researcher at Babbel you will be part of a multidisciplinary User Insights Team that empowers Babbel's product development teams to understand and empathize with the needs and experiences of Babbel’s users, so that they can create human-centered solutions that support successful outcomes and result in experiences that are desirable and delightful to use.
You will:
- Leverage mixed methods to identify the right techniques to achieve the research goals and balance the risk/certainty of the initiative
- Conduct both generative and evaluative research independently as well as coach others on how to implement moderated and unmoderated evaluative research
- Analyze and synthesize complex and diverse data sets (qualitative and quantitative) independently and incorporate insights from multiple data sources into recommendations for product teams
- Be proactive in proposing ways to structure research initiatives and optimize research operations to enable teams to drive business outcomes
- Understand deadlines, resources, and limitations in order to plan backwards from the deadline and adapt accordingly to deliver useful results
- Strengthen your skills within the fields of UX Research and UX Design through coaching and mentoring as well as hands-on experience
You have:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Statistics, Psychology, a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Experience working on research projects, preferably within a UX team
- A research-focused portfolio that showcases your critical thinking and research processes
- Understanding of various qualitative and quantitative research methods, and how best to utilize them to meet research objectives
- Excellent communication skills in English, other languages are a plus
- Knowledge of or experience with UX design principles and heuristics
- Experience with Market Research and growth-focused organizations is a plus
