UX research is becoming an increasingly vital component of modern tech success stories. We are looking for our first UX researcher to join our design team. Working for our head of design, you will be responsible for both driving key research activity, as well as helping and coaching teams to become more user sensitive and data aware. The ultimate goal is to help Expensya deliver the most successful product at a minimal cost, importantly reducing the chance that our teams build the wrong thing.

We are determined to build the right thing at the right time for the right people – we need someone creative, bright and determined to help us do that.

Responsibilities

  • Structure a new Research and Insights Practice in the Product dept

  • Implement and establish an overall User Research strategy & methodology

  • Identify opportunities through the analysis of data and user journeys (acquisition, activation, retention, revenue)

  • Increase skills and evangelize User Research in the product/design team

  • Serve as a member of a team that acts as a 'repository' of research-based user-centric knowledge

  • Recruit, plan, and conduct interviews and user tests

  • Manage all insights, classify and analyse them

  • Synthesize and socialise insights

Preferred experience

  • You have at least 3 years experience in UX and/or UX Research

  • You are an exponent of Design Thinking

  • You are a passionate user advocate helping to translate visionary business needs into actionable insights through user research

  • You have an interest and experience with analytics, user types and segmentation

  • You are at ease with agile methodologies

  • You are able to work with project business representatives and team members from across the organization to test business requirements using objective user-centric data-driven methods

  • You have strong product intuition, but also team-oriented mindset with a data-driven approach

  • You have great communication skills, empathy, power of conviction & diplomacy with the ability to step back and synthesize

  • You have business proficiency in English, (written and spoken) and you are fluent in french to communicate with our main users
