About Workato

Workato is the only integration and automation platform that is as simple as it is powerful — and because it’s built to power the largest enterprises, it is quite powerful.

Simultaneously, it’s a low-code/no-code platform. This empowers any user (dev/non-dev) to painlessly automate workflows across any apps and databases.

We’re proud to be named a leader by both Forrester and Gartner and trusted by 7,000+ of the world's top brands such as Box, Grab, Slack, and more. But what is most exciting is that this is only the beginning.

Why join us?

Ultimately, Workato believes in fostering a flexible, trust-oriented culture that empowers everyone to take full ownership of their roles. We are driven by innovation and looking for team players who want to actively build our company.

But, we also believe in balancing productivity with self-care. That’s why we offer all of our employees a vibrant and dynamic work environment along with a multitude of benefits they can enjoy inside and outside of their work lives.

If this sounds right up your alley, please submit an application. We look forward to getting to know you!

Also, feel free to check out why:

  • Business Insider named us an “enterprise startup to bet your career on”

  • Forbes’ Cloud 100 recognized us as one of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world

  • Deloitte Tech Fast 500 ranked us as the 17th fastest growing tech company in the Bay Area, and 96th in North America

  • Quartz ranked us the #1 best company for remote workers

Responsibilities

We are looking for an exceptional UX Designer willing to rethink enterprise software and believe that enterprise users should have the same usability, capability, and reliability that we expect from consumer software. This is a remote role, and candidates based anywhere in Singapore are welcome to apply! In this role, you will also be responsible to:

  • Work in close collaboration with other designers, product managers and UI engineers to design products that have low friction to adoption and are delightful to use

  • Develop lo-fi/hi-fi mockups and prototypes to effectively articulate interaction designs

  • Produce polished visual design specs that are clear and directed

  • Iterate through design feedback from internal stakeholders and customers

  • Gauge the usability of new and existing features and make constructive suggestions for change.

  • Leverage analytics tools to measure success, present opportunities, and support decision-making

  • Write clear and concise copy for your projects

  • Be a constant user advocate, in every aspect of your work.

  • Work across timezones with colleagues based in Singapore and Russia

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • 2-5 years of UX design experience, preferably in designing complex consumer or enterprise products. A Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Design is an added advantage.

  • A strong portfolio of your past work that details your challenges, ideas, and impact. We are specifically looking for projects that went into production where you’ve distilled a complex problem into a simple interface. What were your considerations/constraints? What was the impact of your work? Show us a breadth of projects: from designing a widget component where you geeked out on the small details to designing an entire user flow where even the problem space was ambiguous to begin with.

  • Experience using tools such as Figma. Knowledge of basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is a bonus, but not required. Ability to prototype simple animations of your design in Codepen, or the ability to create SVG animations in tools like SVGator is a good to have.

  • While a solid foundation of interaction design is a given, we are looking for someone who is also strong in at least one of the following disciplines: motion design, visual design or writing microcopy.

Soft Skills / Personal Characteristics

  • Analytical capabilities and the ability to understand the shape of data. You will routinely work with schemas and APIs- we don’t expect you to be an expert as long as you have an interest in learning the domain. Since we are a platform, you’ll also be expected to work with dynamic datasets. People use us for a lot of use cases, so you should know how to create universal designs that scale up well.

  • A solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies. Ability to define research questions and work with our User Researcher on finding best ways to answer them.

  • Ability to effectively present and justify design decisions to stakeholders. All justifications should be grounded in design/psych theories/ research/ analytics.

  • Awareness of current and upcoming design patterns, the ability to critique them, and the skill to know when to use and when to avoid them.

  • Ability to function independently, be self-directed and to thrive in ambiguity.

  • Team player, willing to help and share knowledge with team members, open to feedback and constructive criticism.
