About the role:

The UX Team is growing fast, and we're looking for a mid level UX designer who can show us a great understanding of the design process. You’ll help us solve complex problems and make things simple for our users, as part of a highly collaborative UX community whose mission is to make managing utilities effortless for our customers.

You’ll work in the Partner team, who are responsible for helping our network of 40,000 Partners around the country recommend our services to their friends, families and people they know. We do this by creating simple experiences that help them grow and manage their UW business around their everyday life.

What you will do

  • Be responsible for all stages of the design process from running ideation workshops, concept sketching, wireframe and prototyping through to user testing and delivering the final pixel perfect design
  • Work across multiple platforms from web to mobile app, and help drive the UX strategy to deliver exceptional digital experiences for our Partners
  • Conduct regular research with our Partners to discover insights that help define the product experience and strategy Distil user insights and business requirements into customer journey flows
  • Create experience maps/service blueprints to help the business identify opportunities
  • Create wireframes and prototypes to test and validate product ideas and communicate with wider stakeholders
  • Interrogate data in order to understand users’ behaviour and inform design decisions Collaborate with product managers, engineers and key stakeholders and be the voice of our customers
  • Understand the importance of inclusive design and always meet accessibility standards
  • Make continuous improvements through running experiments, A/B testing, user testing and user feedback
  • Contribute towards and help build our design systemsWork in partnership with engineers to ensure smooth handover of design specs

A bit more about you

  • A solid understanding of user-centred design with the ability to balance user and business needs
  • Experience in a UX/UI role and a strong portfolio demonstrating examples of UX/UI designs for native apps
  • Highly proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite Best-in-class design, wireframing and prototyping skills (low and high fidelity)
  • Passionate about good design with exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to clearly demonstrate your process, methodology and approach to UX design strategy
  • A self-motivated individual who enjoys delivering high quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoy being part of a UX community to share, collaborate and give/receive feedback on our work
  • An effective communicator who can confidently share design concepts clearly
  • Comfortable with conducting user interviews and user research sessions
