About Limbix: Limbix is a distributed team building smartphone-based prescription digital therapeutics for adolescents experiencing mental health disorders. Our goal is to give all young people access to affordable, effective behavioral health care by giving providers immediate, safe, and evidence-based treatment options they can prescribe to their patients. This is a full-time contract position for 6 months. Must provide W-9 for compensation. Must reside in the U.S.

About the Role:  At Limbix, UX Designers work cross-functionally to conceptualize, craft, and continually improve our user-centered experiences for teenagers, caregivers, and providers. We are hiring a full-time contract UX Designer to execute on the end-to-end design process for our caregiver solutions. The person hired to this role will work closely with a cross-functional team of content designers, clinical development leads, engineers, and product managers. They’ll also work alongside our Product Designers, and report directly to our Chief Creative Officer.

What you will do in this role:

  • Execute the end-to-end UX design process, developing novel interactions that deliver educational and clinical concepts from in-person therapy.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (product managers, content designers, UX researchers, engineers, clinical scientists) in a cross-functional design process to identify, define, prototype, iterate, and test solutions.
  • Present and communicate design concepts, decisions, prototypes, and final screens to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide meaningful and valuable feedback to other members of the design team.
  • Collaborate and strategize with other designers to ensure design consistency and cohesiveness across different features and products.
  • Advocate for solutions that deliver the best user experience, with a consideration of user needs, available data, and synthesized insights from user research.

Qualifications:

  • You have 4+ years of professional experience as a UX designer on mobile (iOS & Android) and desktop products.
  • Your portfolio demonstrates your approach to problem-solving and exemplifies strong storytelling, attention to detail, and visual design quality.
  • You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and use them to proactively and effectively communicate design decisions to stakeholders.
  • You’re eager to learn from our users and have the ability to plan and execute user interviews, with guidance and support from clinical UXR.
  • You love getting to the root of a problem with a human-centered design approach, championing for patients while also balancing business needs.
  • You’re fluent with Figma.
  • You know how to build strong relationships cross-functionally.
  • You have a self-starter attitude and are comfortable in the ambiguity of a dynamic startup environment.
  • You have a history of success balancing simultaneous projects, adapting to shifting priorities, and delivering quick-turnaround high-quality deliverables when needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Illustration experience.
  • Experience working with existing design systems and component libraries.
  • Experience working in gaming, education, mental health, or digital health.
  • Experience working with adolescents
  • An understanding of (or curiosity about) common mental health disorders, such as depression and anxiety.
