USER TERMINAL PRODUCT MANAGER (STARLINK)

  • Responsible for the overall user experience for new and existing products across the Starlink program.
  • Identify and document all project milestones and deliverables, keeping alignment on project plans across the Starlink organization.
  • Setup and manage Starlink beta programs, monitoring progress to optimize and improve the overall user experience.
  • Serve as the business point of contact between internal and external customers, influencing and coordinating with stakeholders from the business, customer operations, and engineering teams throughout the NPI phase of the product launch.
  • Provide guidance and training biased on user research findings to customer operations and service teams.
  • Understand and implement long-term business strategies with targeted KPIs to meet the long-term Starlink vision.
  • Translate new product strategies into business requirements and technical deliverables to ensure the introduction of new products meets business needs.
  • Work with customer operations and engineering teams to identify customer experience pain points and implement solutions into new and existing products.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, math, physics, or industrial design related discipline
  • Previous experience managing large multidisciplinary technical projects
  • Minimum 5 years’ direct leadership experience or project leadership scope

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with interdisciplinary project management across many departments. Interdisciplinary engineering fundamentals and multidisciplinary project execution is the key to success in this role
  • Experience developing and presenting concise engineering summaries to drive decision making

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:
Product Manager: $125,000.00 - $180,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Exempt employees are eligible for 5 days of sick leave per year.

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
