We are now looking for a UX Researcher to join our growing team, who will help bring our UX and usability capabilities to the next level by: 

- Developing and leading our internal usability/UX testing programme that enables agile and de-risked innovation for product teams.
- Owning our ‘end-user’ insight domain (people around the world signing up for services with our customers) and the UX associated with our identity verification capture experience.
- Developing our measurable UX benchmarking initiatives to ensure UX standards remain high and consistent across regions and product components.
- This is a great opportunity for someone in the early or mid-stage of their UXR career to create real impact in a fast-moving, product-led environment whilst growing and working alongside an experienced team of researchers and designers. 


In this role, you can expect to:

  • Contribute to solving business-critical problems with user insight.
  • Independently design, manage, and execute tactical research (with a heavy focus on UX and usability), while growing skills in more complex strategic discovery by supporting Sr. Researchers.
  • Use a structured approach to analysis and synthesis (via our research repository tool Dovetail) enabling wider impact and others to self-service insights. 
  • Clearly, confidently and continuously communicate user insights within your product team/s, to senior leadership and across the business so that they have maximum impact.
  • Become a reliable and credible voice of users, providing guidance and influencing decisions that impact Onfido’s direction as a company.
  • Produce high-quality work through attention to detail, asking the right questions, identifying opportunities for and setting up process efficiencies, and problem-solving.
  • Be a key contributor in growing the maturity of our User Research practice.

About You

  • Some of the following qualities would make you a great fit for the role. We don’t expect everyone to have every type of experience on our list. If you have a lot of the relevant skills and think you’d be good at the role, we’d love to hear from you.
  • You have experience leading usability and iterative user testing to support product design, and an appetite to expand your user research toolkit (Experience in quantitative research methods would be a welcomed bonus!) 
  • You are passionate about unpacking messy problems and advocating for customer and user needs with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • You are organised, resourceful, with a keen eye for detail and a real desire to learn and hone your craft.
  • You are curious, inquisitive, unafraid to ask hard questions or to challenge the way things are usually done, pushing back on stakeholders when needed to more clearly define research aims and project goals 
  • You are a strong communicator who is able to distill complex concepts and ideas into clear, actionable messages, and are starting to demonstrate this through concise and engaging research findings
  • You are keen to grow and take on a progressively greater degree of responsibility and autonomy 
  • You are familiar with navigating a complex business and navigating multiple stakeholders to achieve your goals
What Next?

Typically, this will involve and intro with our Director of User Research followed by an on-site presentation and interviews with the team. We’ll be here to support you throughout the interview process to ensure that you are comfortable and prepared.

At Onfido, we have a distributed workforce.
For this role, you can work in any EU country where we have a legal entity. We have a hybrid model, and you can choose to work fully remote, or come to our offices! We let all of our employees choose what’s best for them.
