User Researcher (Contract) job at Fitbod

Fitbod is seeking a part-time (~10 hours/week) User Researcher to help deepen our understanding of the unique needs of customers, and help in developing a product that better supports an active and healthy lifestyle.

This role will work closely with the product development teams to design, conduct, and synthesize user research studies.

Our current workflow consists of quick, iterative concept and usability tests with mock ups, prototypes and app builds. This hire with primarily focus on conducting asynchronous tests with quick turnaround. Depending on priorities and project objectives there may also be the opportunity to conduct synchronous user interviews.

Study participants will be provided and are very actively engaged and excited to participate in our current research initiatives.

This role is expected to have an initial time commitment of 10 hours per week. We will reevaluate after a ramp-up period and assess how long a research study takes to formulate, execute and distill.

About this role

Experience running usability tests and concept validation research that inform product direction.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify research questions and help design the appropriate study for a given problem.
Design, conduct, and synthesize rapid and remote concept and usability tests with quick turnaround that allow our design team to quickly iterate on solutions
Utilize the prototype testing tool Maze.co (or equivalent to test Figma Prototypes) to conduct remote usability and concept testing
Leverage UserInterviews.com for the management of study participants
Bring your experience and expertise with the range of research tools an approaches to help reveal insights on our product and user experience.
Create clear and concise insights deliverables that can be shared across the company to various teams
Familiarity with Figma.
