Job Description

As a User Experience Research Assistant at Cradle, you will play a vital role in helping our User Experience Team gather insights from user interviews, code and organize key takeaways, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our platform. We are seeking someone with a biology background who can engage in technical conversations, summarize complex topics, and pay attention to detail. While prior user experience research experience is a plus, it is not a requirement, as we are open to training the right candidate who is passionate about user experience research and excited to work in a startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take notes based on user interviews conducted by the User Experience Researcher, using recorded interviews.

• Summarize and code user interviews to help identify key insights and trends.

• Maintaining an organized repository of user insights.

• Assist in administrative tasks related to upcoming interviews, such as creating documents with details for note takers.

• Manage administrative tasks for completed interviews to ensure all documentation is organized and readily accessible.

• Collaborate closely with the User Experience Researcher to support ongoing research efforts.

Need-to-Haves:

• A background in biology or a related field is required to engage effectively in technical conversations.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to summarize complex technical discussions.

• Curiosity about user experience research and a willingness to learn.

• Excitement about working in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Excellent English communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work remotely and independently and manage your time effectively.

Hours and Compensation:

• This is a remote contract position.

• Weekly hours will vary based on the number of interviews conducted, estimated initially at 2-3 hours per interview.

• We have a backlog of interviews to code, so hours may be higher initially to catch up on this backlog.

• Compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
