User Experience Designer Intern

As part of Ozow’s Intern Programme, we are looking to upskill and provide guidance to an Entry Level / Intern User Experience Designer. You are here to help create amazing and memorable experiences by using the User Experience Design (UXD) process. You will be part of a team and shadow other UX Designers and Analysts supporting them to help, understand, empathise and create impactful solutions for our users across various touch points. Additionally, you will help build Ozow to be the most loved FinTech company in Africa. In this role, we encourage you to always have our users at the heart of all your solutions (either using best practices and / or being informed based on data and insights).

Your roles and responsibilities:

• Shadow and learn closely with other UX Designers and supporting them with various human-centric processes and activities.
• With guidance, help to identify user problems and challenges that needs to be solved.
• With guidance, help facilitate gathering of requirements from stakeholders and team members.
• Help unpack problems through various UX Research activities such as interviews, surveys, observational studies, etc.
• With guidance, help analyse and synthesise user research and data.
• Follows a human-centric process to solve the problem.
• With guidance, help visualise the process and solution through;
• User Flows
• Customer Journey Maps
• Task Flows
• Information Architecture
• Low Fidelity Wireframes & Interactive Prototypes.
• Help to create high-fidelity solutions and building out User Interface designs.
• Help to create interaction solutions and how the user interacts with components.
• Contribute towards a Design System.
• Observe and help set up various validation activities like Usability Testing, Guerilla Testing, RITE Method, etc.
• Continuously grow and improve skill sets.
