About DashQ

At DashQ, we're pioneering a transformative approach to the way people find, secure and connect with rental housing. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies we are helping evolve housing from a mere commodity to a deeply connected community. In an environment where housing supply is limited, it has never been more critical to fix the inefficient systems that act as hurdles to accessing the limited supply we do have.

Solving critical problems requires a strong team with an aligned set of values -  candid communication, curiosity, and an unyielding character are more than values at DashQ—they're our foundation for creating meaningful impact, both for our community and self-growth.

If the thought of passionately diving into these challenges excites you, then DashQ is exactly where you belong.

About the Role

As DashQ embarks on an exhilarating phase of rapid growth, the role of UI/UX Designer emerges as a cornerstone in our journey. In this dynamic and creative role, you'll be instrumental in defining the user experience and visual appeal of our innovative product lines: Convert, Checkout, & Engage. This is a unique opportunity to leave a lasting impact on how our customers interact with our products, shaping their experiences and perceptions.

Reporting directly to the Director of Product, your mission will be to bring product requirement documents to life, crafting intuitive and visually stunning mock-ups and designs. Your role is more than just creating interfaces; it's about weaving functionality and aesthetics into a seamless user experience. You will be the bridge between our product vision and the tangible solutions that our engineering team develops, blending artistry and practicality in every design.

In this role, your creativity will not be just encouraged but essential. We’re looking for someone who can think outside the box, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to the table. Your keen eye for design and user-centric approach will be pivotal in developing cutting-edge solutions that challenge the norms and elevate our brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance the usability and appeal of DashQ's interfaces to increase user adoption and optimize client results.
  • Create high-quality mock-ups and designs from product requirement documents, ensuring these align with our brand guidelines and meet the functional needs of our engineering team.
  • Develop user flows and wireframes to improve overall usability and intuitiveness of our applications.
  • Create detailed journey maps for key personas, understanding and enhancing user experience across various touchpoints.
  • Identify design elements that reinforce desired user habits, and analyze existing UI/UX to identify and address pain points.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align product strategies with UX goals and contribute to the overall UX roadmap.
  • Maintain and evolve a cohesive and scalable UI component library to ensure consistency and efficiency in design implementation.
  • Keep abreast of the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies to ensure DashQ remains at the forefront of design innovation.
  • Effectively document design processes and communicate design decisions to relevant stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for backgrounds in SaaS or technology-focused companies.
  • Technical proficiency with front-end technologies like CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage design projects and collaborate effectively using project management software like Asana, Jira, etc.
  • Experience in utilizing material design libraries and adhering to design systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present and explain design concepts to cross-functional teams.
  • Proven capability to tackle complex design challenges, ensuring visual and interaction consistency across the platform.
  • Familiarity with user onboarding flows, feature adoption strategies, and enhancing user engagement.
  • Previous experience in PropTech, or a strong understanding of the real estate and property technology sector, is a significant advantage.

Every day, you'll face the exciting challenge of innovating and implementing designs that enhance how users interact with our products. You'll discover what works best through your successes and learn from any setbacks. But no matter the outcome, you'll have the full support of a collaborative and dynamic team.
