Our mission is to empower indie DTC brands worldwide to grow faster and more profitably!

Product @ Polar Analytics

As a product-led organisation, product is a central function of Polar Analytics. Currently managed by the founders, this is an opportunity to come in and establish the foundations.

Our principles when it comes to product:

  • Explain the why, and define the what - let your team define the how

  • Lead with data

  • Speed over perfection

  • Own the outcome

  • Have fun

More here:

Why this role?

  1. Empower thousands of entrepreneurs to grow their brand, with a product they use daily

  2. Managing our data products and ensuring that they meet the needs of our customers. You will work closely with our Data Analyst/Scientist/Engineer

  3. Have strong ownership on a growing data product that is already used by 1,000+ brands

  4. Join us at one of the most exciting moments of our history: we are building the core features of the app with $9M raised and a growth rate of 30% month-over-month

Your experience working on data products or as a Data Analyst/Scientist/Engineer will be crucial in understanding customer requirements and translating them into product features that drive customer satisfaction and retention.

What’s the scope?

  • Own the technical/data roadmap and vision, leading polar to become the #1 Business Intelligence solution on the market

Examples of projects you will be owning:

    • Define and own the integrations roadmap: adding depth to current integrations to help customers answer questions like ‘What are my products that convert the most’?

    • Scope projects related to our metrics API like adding the ability to create cumulative metrics to answer questions like ‘What is my total sales growth YTD? What is the 12 month repurchase rate of my top products?’

    • Define and own AI related features: root cause analysis, using openAI to answer customer questions or generate recommendations

  • Scope and investigate features such as new data integrations, insight models, and service improvements

  • Act as project manager on large cross-functional initiatives: define, prioritise, scope features and own the deliverability of these features end to end

  • Act as a hands on analytics engineer: lead the development of data infrastructure projects, help the team address data quality issues and fix bugs, build quick data models and add new dimensions & metrics to help support the team with ad-hoc questions.

  • Identify and engage with third party data services

Our Stack:

We like to try new things out but most of our data stack is built around SQL & Python. Here are the things we use - and love:

  • dbt

  • Airflow

  • Airbyte & Fivetran

  • Snowflake

  • Kubernetes

  • Docker

  • Micro-services architecture on AWS
