That’s why we’re looking for you: a writer who can tell the world about what we’ve shipped.

We’re solving EDI

We’re rebuilding the technological backbone of the B2B economy. Trillions of dollars flow annually through a global network of commerce via an archaic framework called EDI, but there hasn’t been a major new EDI platform in decades.

We make software for developers to help them build modern EDI systems. Our goal is to make software so great that all the world’s business transactions run on our rails – and users won’t know or care, because it works exactly as expected.

What you believe

Writers have as great of an impact on the adoption of technology as the developers who build it;
Quality writing makes a product more effective;
Writing about a product early and often can shape the product itself;
The best way to gain an understanding of the product is to use it yourself.

What you'll do

Use new products and features before they launch;
Author and send out changelog updates, like this;
Work with engineers and designers to write blog posts, like this;
Tweet out announcements, like this;
Highlight new launches announcements in emails;
Partner with growth engineers to automate publishing pipelines;
Continuously improve the efficacy of launch announcement strategies by measuring and iterating.

What you won’t do

Marketing, growth hacking, or SEO;
Focus on conferences, webinars, or viral posts.

We aren’t looking for someone to jam a bunch of SEO words onto a page – we need someone to tell the world the facts about what we shipped.

Who you are

Track record of writing and editing, especially for a developer audience;
History of shipping published, developer-focused product announcements;
The technical background to use a developer-focused product;
The skill to clearly describe what a product does and what makes it valuable.

We’d be extra excited if you have:

Experience with a docs-as-code workflow (Markdown, GitHub);
Worked at a technology company with a focus on developer tooling;
Familiarity with logistics, retail, e-commerce, or generally B2B integrations.
