System Designer (Senior Product Designer)

Senior Product Designer - for Design System

You will be working in a Design system team, which will consist of yourself, a Senior Designer, Developers and a Product Manager. Together as a team you will have the opportunity to shape and build Deel’s design system.

Duties

• Deeply analyze customers and business problems to identify the pain points

• Rapidly create impactful and elegant solutions to problems.

• Strategically think of the product from high level to connect the missing dots

• Update the acceptance criteria and define the logic to your work

• Take full cycle ownership of your work from ideation, design, review and feedback in the final test build and after release.

• Lead holistic design and system design for Deel in partnership with Product Managers and Developers

• Actively gives feedback to other designers in the team

• Perform design reviews from a system design point of view

• Drive the vision for holistic system design and implementation working with Product and Engineering

• Steer the group’s design execution toward reaching business goals

• Work holistically across multiple platforms to solve problems

Requirements

• Be passionate about design

• Able to learn fast

• Experienced in the design and implementation of design systems; including templates, components and documentation in Zeroheight and Figma i.e. Storybooks, Figma components, Libraries

• Previously worked for a minimum of 5-6 years experience as a product designer in fast-paced environment (ideally scale up/ startup)

• Have strong knowledge and practice in both UX and UI

• Autonomous force multiplier for their team and designers around them

• Know when to go deep on a task and when to execute

• Experienced with being embedded into a development team with a light touch from the product manager. We believe that the work comes from everyone, not just from the top down.

• Be comfortable with being involved with the end-to-end development process. From ideation to design QA - you feed and unblock the team.

• Location: For this role, you will need to be in EMEA and LATAM
