Job Summary
PeopleFun is seeking a Head of Production to own the studio’s overall production vision while building a world class production team. As the Head of Production, you will be the standard bearer for excellence, building a diverse, high-performing team possessing the skills to exceed the needs of all game teams. You will set each producer up for success by creating and executing individualized career growth plans, aligned with their current skill set and career goals. You will support each game team by understanding their unique needs, and guide Product Owners in their decisions and resourcing appropriately. In addition, you will represent the production team as a member of the studio leadership team, contributing to meaningful studio decisions. 

Responsibilities
1. Support the people making our games
- Empower product owners and their game teams by providing guidance and timely/relevant feedback.
- Help form strong game teams by understanding team dynamics, laying the foundation of trust, and collaborating with the production leads & product owners to continually improve processes and communications.
- Leverage prior experiences/best practices to identify opportunities for operational improvement and make meaningful suggestions to product owners & game teams.
- Allocate production team resources, balancing team member skill sets & development plans with the needs of various game teams.

2. Support & grow the people in the production department
- Build departmental career map/ladder, in collaboration with the talent team, defining job levels & salary bands.
- Manage, coach, mentor and develop production staff, implementing growth plan(s) to ensure professional development and expand the talent base.
- Support long term goals and aspirations of the production team members.

3. Lead production excellence from the front
- Be the standard bearer of production excellence.
- Improve Production Team core competencies across all major areas, including but not limited to agile/scrum methodologies, development processes, tool implementation, effective testing, risk identification/mitigation, release planning and live operations.
- Be the face of the production team, regularly presenting the team’s roadmap and initiatives to the wider studio.
- Lead by example, stepping into an individual contributor capacity, when needed, to model production excellence.
- Proactively communicate team updates, blockers and other key elements across the Studio Leadership Team; ensuring all potential stakeholders are informed.
- Be able to effectively organize thoughts, ideas, and large initiatives.
- Be able to identify, own, and drive any tasks you are responsible for to completion in a timely manner.

4. Be a great team member of the Studio Leadership Team
- Studio leadership team is composed of department heads and product owners.
- Meaningfully contribute to strategic discussion and decisions impacting the larger studio.
- Represent the production team as a member of the studio leadership team.
- Bethe producer of the studio leadership team.

Requirements
- 10+ years experience within gaming industry, contributing to multiple high quality, top grossing mobile free 2 play games 
- 5+ years professional experience in production leadership, preferably across multiple levels: Game Team Production Leader, Studio Production Leader, or other related production/leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and producing games in all stages of the development lifecycle from concept, pre-production, production, live and beyond , free 2 play mobile games supported by ad revenue preferred.
- Deep production expertise and continual desire to learn new technologies and methodologies.
- Heart of a mentor, with an in-depth knowledge of the gaming industry and a desire to elevate those around them.
- A humble leader with excellent communication skills, who genuinely values and considers others’ opinions and ideas.
