Data is all around us, and we believe everyone should be able to use it to get better, smarter decisions. As a product manager on Databricks SQL, you will envision, design and ship features that make it possible for business analysts to get insights from large amounts of data.

You will focus on the experience of querying and exploring data using visual data exploration tools and SQL. How can we help analysts quickly explore large data sets? How can we get them to insights with a few clicks? Furthermore, how can build the best experience for analysts who write SQL, with features like autocomplete, in-line documentation? You will answer all of these questions - and more! - in this role.

The work you do will help tens of thousands of analysts get insights across tens of industries, from building applications that predict machine failure, discovering drugs and optimizing freight delivery. Bring the simplicity and power of Databricks' groundbreaking lakehouse platform to the world and help companies solve the world's toughest problems with data.

The impact you will have:

  • Prioritize and execute on an ambitious and impactful product roadmap.
  • Use your deep understanding of data analysts and business intelligence users to drive improvements in the experience of exploring and querying data in Databricks SQL.
  • Take the product to market and drive its adoption. You will partner with marketing on webinars, write blog posts and meet analysts wherever they might be to drive your product's adoption.

What we look for:

  • Strong empathy for customers, particularly analysts and users of business intelligence tools like Tableau and PowerBI.
  • You are very adept at querying data using SQL, and building dashboards.
  • We are looking for product managers who can derive insights from customer conversations and drive a compelling vision. Grit and the ability to drive forward in the face of challenges is a must.
  • Clear verbal and written communication are very important as you will be front and center communicating with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Understanding of enterprise personas and enterprise sales cycle is required. You must have past experience in the enterprise space, ideally with a SaaS.
