Mission

Help Databricks "scale in the enterprise" by giving enterprise admins the tools they need to drive Databricks as a standard data and analytics platform throughout their organization.

Outcomes

  • Develop a deep understanding of visibility and control workflows for Databricks Administrators
  • Within 90 days formulate an enterprise roadmap (data driven) to address the visibility and control needs for Administrators.
  • In 180 days enterprise-wide customer deployments have driven the total # of active users and/or automated jobs in strategic accounts by 10x
  • Databricks platform becomes increasingly self-service, simple to administer and easy to scale across the customers' organization

Responsibilities

  • Inbound PM for Admin persona
  • Customer convos, write PRDs, define success metrics, prioritize features, guide engineering and design work.
  • Influence roadmap, positioning, and pricing for your features
  • Outbound PM for Admin persona
  • Ship features (early adopter program, release planning, marketing)
  • Work with PMMs on product/feature launches: blog posts, release notes, webinars
  • Measure impact: track and report usage
  • Collect & summarize usage data/dashboards for decision making and OKR tracking
  • Own cross-functional interactions for your features (across eng/marketing/field/sales)

Competencies

  • Full lifecycle product management. Concept to market success. Includes inbound, outbound, cross-functional product management.
  • Experience with administrator, sysadmin, devops user personas.
  • Detailed understanding of infrastructure providers such as AWS, Azure.
  • Data analysis and operationalization skills (SQL, rollups, building operational dashboards)
  • Excellent written communication. Ability to convey ideas simply and influence people.
