What’s the role?

We are looking for a high impact Staff Product Manager to build product experiences that enable and empower our marketers with the right tools and capabilities to efficiently complete Etsy’s strategic goals!

As a Staff Product Manager you will be responsible for crafting a product roadmap that will support marketing channels across 80M+ active buyers and 7M+ sellers. You’ll improve our technology stack and build tools to transform Etsy's customer experience. As the marketing technology landscape evolves, we need to partner with our marketers and over 13 external vendors to remain competitive and efficient.  This is a full-time position reporting to the Group Product Manager and the base salary range will be 172,000 - 224,000 USD per year. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States. You will have the option to work office-based, flex or remotely. Candidates living within commutable distance of the Etsy Brooklyn, Mexico City, and Dublin Office Hubs, or within the Guadalajara and San Francisco areas, may be the first to be considered. What’s this team like at Etsy?

• We support Performance Marketing, CRM, and Growth Data Science across 13+ vendors and service over 90M buyers and 7M sellers.
• We work closely with privacy eng, marketing managers, agencies, and industry ad leaders like Google, Meta, and Apple who are changing advertising policy for the world.
• An exciting goal for our team is to grow into new audience channels like tiktok, trial new marketing tactics like optimizing at the aggregate not user level, and building new measurements of success for our long term bets.

What does the day-to-day look like?

• Own the creation of a well-supported product strategy to optimize platforms that support Marketing’s Growth channels, including ATL, CRM, and Performance Marketing.
• Prioritize your roadmap consistently based on impact, risk, and urgency and communicate commitments to your partners
• Extracting insights from a meeting with our ad agency and Google about new reporting needs
• Partner closely with Marketing Leads and key partners to define a compelling long-term vision for our customer data
• Be responsible for the performance (and measurement) of the team’s product experiences, including impact to the business.
• Diving deep to pressure test an ROI model for a new investment

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

• Deep expertise in building out data integrations, attribution models, CDPs, MAPs, analytic platforms, and other MarTech products
• Experience handling sensitive or sophisticated data with deep understanding of the privacy landscape
• Experience in crafting a strategy and prioritizing across a wide range of success criteria
• Passionate about solving sophisticated user (internal customers) facing problems, developing strategies and roadmaps, and completing plans to benefit our business.
• Know when and how to balance data with intuition when vital.
• Natural collaborator who knows how to drive decision-making and has the ability to influence through informal authority.
• Communicate thoughtfully across teams including Product, Marketing, Design, Engineering, Research, Legal, and Etsy leadership.
