At Squarespace, we empower our product teams to solve complex customer and business problems in ways that delight users and drive meaningful results. As a Staff Product Manager, you will operate as a senior-level individual contributor, driving strategy, execution, and cross-functional alignment across high-impact areas of our platform.

The App Ecosystem team is core to the Squarespace Commerce experience. We help sellers across the globe extend and customize their storefronts and back-office systems by enabling powerful third-party integrations. Our work spans the foundational APIs and developer tools that underpin app development on Squarespace, making this one of the most critical and interconnected surfaces in the entire product ecosystem.

This is a unique opportunity to lead initiatives that expand the scope and sophistication of our commerce platform. You’ll shape the long-term API strategy that enables both service and product sellers to build custom workflows and tailored experiences for their businesses. Your work will help grow our Extensions Store, scaling our platform's utility and flexibility.

You will report to a Senior Group Product Manager and will be based in our Dublin, Ireland office working on-site (hybrid 2-3 days per week in office).

You'll Get To...

  • Conduct discovery and research to define the roadmap and long-term product strategy for the App Ecosystem team, grounded in customer insights, data, industry research, and business goals.
  • Define product requirements and rollout strategies for API updates and new developer products, partnering closely with engineering to design a strong developer experience.
  • Discuss APIs and technical details with engineering, while staying focused on what sellers need and how it all fits into the bigger picture.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from inception to delivery, driving accountability while fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Anticipate technical and organizational complexity—helping to establish processes for scale and ensuring the product remains scalable, compliant, and competitive as the business evolves.
  • Communicate clearly and convincingly with executive stakeholders, balancing user empathy with strong business acumen and technical fluency.
  • Serve as a thought leader and advocate for extensibility initiatives within our Product organization, in service of a more open platform for our users.
  • Mentor and guide other product managers and cross-functional partners, raising the bar for product thinking and execution across the group and shaping product culture.

Who We're Looking For

  • 7–10+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record of owning and scaling developer products or app marketplaces.
  • Background in computer science or prior experience as a software developer is preferred but not required.
  • Deep understanding of developer products and APIs, with a sharp sense for what makes a great developer experience—grounded in user empathy and product taste.
  • Strong systems thinker who can evaluate the downstream impact of product changes across developers, partners, internal teams, and end users.
  • Expertise in product discovery and delivery methods, with proven success in balancing quick iteration to validate hypotheses with thinking long term about the platform.
  • Process-oriented and comfortable building structure from ambiguity—able to define rollout plans for developer tools, build communication processes for change management, and proactively close ownership gaps.
  • Outstanding communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to align teams and influence senior stakeholders across Engineering, Business Development, and Product.
