Staff Product Manager

About the role

The Product Team will help achieve our goal of building a humanity scale product with billions of users by developing experiences that deliver on our mission to give everyone access to AGI.As a Product Manager, you will work across multiple disciplines to develop new products and features from 0->1, and deploy, test and iterate to scale from 1->n.

• This Product Manager will lead and help influence Character.ai products engagement experience interacting with our Characters

• This Product Manager will be responsible for our Character scenarios and expanding those scenarios to new groups of users to help make characters usable and useful for anyone around the world

Responsibilities

• Execute on the product vision/ideation, collaborate on strategy, and implementation of ambiguous and open ended product experiences that utilize the cutting-edge capabilities of our current and future models.

• Collaborate with users, engineering, design, community, and marketing to bring cutting-edge AI applications into the best product experience

• Partner with data science to test and measure quality of the product experience to make informed decisions about the success and evolution of our products to delight users

• Drive cross-functional product deployment, release coordination, and product improvement

Job Requirements

• 8+ years of deep consumer product management experience working on open ended product spaces

• Strong track record building and launching successful, high growth products from 0 -> 1 at scale

• Ability to deliver on product execution focusing on both the short term and long term

• Strong understanding of AI industry, in terms of competitors and incumbent strategies

Nice to Have

• Technical degree and/or prior software engineering experience

• Experience building products with voice interfaces is ideal

• Experience with monetization for consumer subscriptions is ideal

• Experience with social and messaging apps is ideal 

• Startup experience while leading a Product Management team is ideal
