About this Role:

Contracts are more than documents, they’re some of the most valuable sources of business intelligence in the enterprise. Ironclad’s AI Classification team sits at the center of transforming these static records into structured, actionable insights that drive critical business decisions. This product leader will define and execute Ironclad’s AI strategy for data classification, search, and language understanding, a task that is at the center of our long-term vision.

As Staff Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for improving the performance and adoption of core AI features, with a focus on classification and search. In addition to these core areas of ownership, you’ll act as the owner of our AI platform,partnering closely with our world-class engineering, ML, and design teams to build the underlying infrastructure, tooling, and UX patterns that power AI features across Ironclad.

The successful candidate will be able drive short term delivery alongside the infrastructure investments needed to support long-term experimentation and velocity. You’ll be a systems thinker who can build processes that unlock the potential of those around you and a key figure as we bring a customer-centric focus to even the most technical decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Own the roadmap for core AI-powered product experiences across Ironclad, including data extraction/classification, verification flows, and natural language search.

• Deliver meaningful customer outcomes through iterative shipping of improved models & AI performance.

• Build foundational infrastructure for scalable model deployment, online/offline monitoring, and performance tuning.

• Partner with AI/ML, data science, and MLOps to ensure healthy model development and rapid experimentation cycles.

• Lead the efforts to define our approach to RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) and agent graphs, ensuring our application teams have access to the latest tools and techniques.

• Run your team in a way that is conducive to high-velocity AI work, blending agile practices with research-centric iterations.

• Align product vision with broader company objectives through clear storytelling, cross-functional collaboration, and consistent stakeholder engagement.

• Drive adoption and trust in AI by co-owning user-facing education, customization experiences, and accuracy validation loops.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of product management experience, with a track record of shipping high-impact technical products.

• Experience building or scaling core AI/ML capabilities. Ideally in an Enterprise Saas environment where privacy and compliance were critical considerations.

• Strong technical acumen and ability to partner deeply with engineers, data scientists, and platform teams.

• Proven ability to manage ambiguity, make strategic trade-offs, and operate with high ownership.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills—you can translate between customer value and ML architecture with clarity and influence.

• Bonus: experience building search products, RAG applications and/or multi-agent architectures.

What Success Looks Like:

In 6 months, you:

• Have built strong XFN relationships and are running high-performing agile rituals within your team.

• Have ramped rapidly onto the existing roadmap and have launched, or are on track to launching, our major customer facing commitments for 2025

• Taken ownership of the team’s longterm roadmap and delivered a vision that balances immediate customer value with longer-term platform investments.

In 12 months, you’re:

• Leading a motivated and innovative team shipping AI model improvements (either via new models or improved performance on existing models) on a regular and accelerated cadence.

• Partnering across the organization to power effective development and adoption of AI features in other product areas.

• Driving visibility for Ironclad’s AI capabilities in the market and among analysts.

Base Salary Range: $170,000 - $210,000

The base salary range represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position based at our San Francisco headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate. Our base salary is just one component of Ironclad’s competitive total rewards package, which also includes equity awards (a new hire grant, along with opportunities for additional awards throughout your tenure), competitive health and wellness benefits, and a commitment to career growth and development.
