About the role:

As a Staff Product Designer at Samsara, you will design products and services that our customers use every day to run their infrastructure. We’re looking for someone who is excited to shape the experience of our platform across industries such as transportation, logistics, construction, food and beverage, government and more.

In this role, you will:

Engage with customers to understand their mental models, needs, workflows and operations.
Partner with Product, Engineering and Customer Success to define problems, identify opportunities, and deliver improvements to existing products or introduce new ones.
Drive your team towards well-designed solutions.
Positively influence other designer’s work through feedback, improved processes, and better patterns / design systems.
Pitch ideas that inspire, influence and shape future work.
Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.

Minimum requirements for the role:

Around 6+ years of experience designing products for desktop or mobile.
An outstanding portfolio showcasing your approach to solving problems and your standard for design quality.
Effective interaction, visual design, problem solving and communication skills.
Solid prototyping abilities to explore and effectively convey design solutions.
A proven track record of setting strategy & shipping high-impact products for users.
A drive to continuously improve yourself, the team, and product experiences.
