As our first Lead Product Designer, you’ll not only create experiences across iOS, Android, and Web, but also work with a leadership team with over 12 years of product design experience in both large and small consumer internet companies

So, what will you do as a Product Designer at Fitbod?
🏋️ Strengthen Fitbod's core exercise experience
- Lead the interaction and experience design of core features and functionality across iOS, Android, WatchOS, WearOS and Web.
- Contribute to overall strategy and decision-making about product direction.
- Build out the product design team when ready.
💪 Flex and grow your product design skills
- Create flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals for your features.
- Think and design in scalable systems, not one-off solutions.
- Conduct lightweight user research to inform design decisions.
📋 Coach our team to leverage design thinking
- Help deliver and refine clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities
- Present in-progress work to the entire team, solicit feedback and iterate. Articulate why specific creative decisions were made to stakeholders.
- Partner with the analytics team to better understand user behavior and analyze the impact of your design solutions.
Here are some user needs you could support!
- Internal and external motivation to start and maintain a regular fitness practice.
- Visualizing fitness gains.
- Delivering workout plans that target unique, specific fitness goals.
- Accessing and performing new workout styles/formats.
- Educating users on how to perform exercises correctly.
- Exposing why Fitbod recommends specific exercises, sets/reps/weight.
- Supporting At-Home workouts.
- ...and so much more.
Some criteria we consider critical for this role
- 4+ years experience designing for mobile, either on iOS or Android
- Experience designing single page web applications and mobile web
- Demonstrated experience creating consistent and generalizable interaction design systems.
- Proficient knowledge of the formal elements of design including color, typography, and layout
- An absolute pro with the modern design tools, including Figma.
- Previous experience working directly with engineering teams; understand and empathize with the nature of engineering work
- Familiarity with web and mobile app technologies/formats and how to design for them; design for mobile first, responsive web sites
- Express ideas through prototyping.
- Think and design in scalable systems, not one-off solutions.

Positions are 100% remote-only.
We are looking for full-time teammates!
