Staff Product Designer, Platform (Remote)

We're looking for a Staff Product Designer to join the Checkout & Payments team within the Platform organization. The Checkout & Payments team is responsible for maintaining a secure and efficient checkout flow for all Squarespace products for our users around the world. In this role, you will be responsible for evolving the checkout experience by collaborating heavily with product managers, engineers, content strategy and research. We are seeking a detail-oriented product designer who thrives by diving into the weeds of complex systems and has a love for iterative design.

You will report to Product Design Leadership overseeing design on our Platform organization.

You'll Get To…

• Improve existing design solutions while also continuing to evolve our best-in-class checkout experience
• Create rational, articulable, elegant solutions to complex problems
• Think holistically about the user journey and product ecosystem
• Continually seek to understand the capabilities and technical constraints of the systems with which you'll be working
• Design concepts for the platform that are usable, educational, and relevant
• Contribute to OKRs, product strategy, vision, and roadmap by working closely with PM and Engineering partners
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams from concept and discovery through delivery and beyond
• Be data-driven and have an interest in measuring and improving the experience
• Facilitate user research and testing, ensuring usability and product consistency

Who We're Looking for

• 8+ years of experience
• Affinity for interaction design and has a keen eye for subtle details
• Experience in the UX process inclusive of research, visual design and prototyping
• Use a systems approach to design
• Love of iterative development
• Knowledge of current trends in design and technology
• Proficiency in animation tools like Figma
• Deep passion for our product and the impact that it has in the world

A portfolio of relevant design work is required for consideration. It should illustrate your involvement and how you contributed to solving specific problems.

Cash Compensation Range: $170,170 - $299,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, qualifications and experience, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
