Here at Lyft, we’re working to improve people’s lives with the world’s best transportation. To make this lofty goal a reality we start from within—creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization.
A safe, seamless ride is essential to how our riders and drivers experience using Lyft. Our Mapping team builds platforms that power rideshare experiences, from helping riders get to their destination to navigating drivers safely and efficiently from pickup to dropoff. We obsess over questions like: did your pickup spot feel safe? Did you have to walk to the pickup point, cross the street, or dodge buses and cars? Did your driver arrive on the correct side of the road? Did your driver get stuck in unexpected traffic or road closures? You will tackle all of these challenges and more, with end to end ownership over the full ride experience.
We’re looking for a staff product designer to advocate and maintain a user-obsessed culture within Lyft, and be happy and comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You'll partner with designers, researchers, marketers, and product managers to define and create top-notch experiences with safety as a core tenet for success. You’re experienced with every step of product development, from brainstorming broad ideas to ensure design quality through launch. Using your full range of interaction, visual, and product thinking skills, you will lead and own core Mapping experiences across our product teams.
Even if you don't directly have the skills above, please consider applying. We know talent takes many different shapes.
