What’s the role?
Buyers come to Etsy to shop our vast unique inventory, produced by small businessesall over the world. They come to shop for special occasions, big life moments, and for items that are a reflection of what matters most to them and represents who they are. Each and every day our buyers create around one hundred thousand collections to curate, sort, and organize what they are discovering. Our collections team is innovating the tools we give buyers to curate what they find on Etsy, and exploring new ways to let the rest of the marketplace use this buyer-powered curation to support an easy, fun, and exploratory shopping experience. This role will work alongside product, research, analytics, and engineering partners to lead the design of this innovative product team, by both iterating on existing and building new buyer experiences on both our website and native apps.
Day to day, it looks like:
Discovering insights, opportunities, and requirements
Testing prototypes and hypotheses with users to collect feedback
Launching experiments and evaluating how they perform and how to iterate
Sharing your work to peers and leadership, async and in-person
Taking part in weekly design critiques, workshops, all hands and squad meetings
Thinking and writing about your process and documenting your decisions
We are considering remote candidates based in the United States for this position. Etsy offers three different work modes to meet the variety of needs and preferences of our team: Flex mode for candidates who are comfortable traveling to an office location 2+ times per week, Remote mode, and Office-based mode.
