Juniper Square invests in a hybrid workforce and we offer three work modes: full time remote work from your home office, a hybrid of home and office work from one of our office hubs, currently in San Francisco and Austin, or full time work in an office hub. The company headquarters is in the Cloud and we invest in digital-first operations. We have communities of remote employees across the US and Canada, with more substantive local remote working communities in Seattle, Denver, Chicago and New York, but we are open to employees working in several states and provinces. We are happy to share with interested applicants where and how we work.
What you’ll do
- Own design systems decisions, advocating both within our design team and being a cross-functional leader
- Design and document low-level components and high-level interaction patterns relevant for high-complexity financial services workflows
- Work deeply with product designers to define how design systems work should fit in to our broader design process
- Uphold a high standard on our design team for visual refinement and making decisions informed by frontend frameworks and accessibility principles
- Manage our component libraries and documentation within Figma and Storybook
- Work side-by-side with engineers to develop our system for long-term durability and scalability
- Have the opportunity to manage a design systems team as our design team grows
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a product designer across both feature development and design systems teams
- Sharp eye for detail and can work with engineers and QA to ensure our design system is developed with a high degree of visual refinement
- Positive, curious, and collaborative attitude with your peers in design, product, engineering, and QA
- Strategic thinker about how to prioritize development and implementation of our design system
- Experience in implementing responsive design and accessibility principles
- Expert in Figma and managing component libraries
