At Databricks, we are passionate about enabling data teams to solve the world's toughest problems — from making the next mode of transportation a reality to accelerating the development of medical breakthroughs. We do this by building and running the world's best data and AI infrastructure platform so our customers can use deep data insights to improve their business.

As a Staff Product Designer on the Workflows team in Amsterdam, you'll create products for data engineers that allow them to build, manage, and deploy their ETL pipelines. You'll engage with large enterprise customers, develop long-term design strategy, and work with engineering to ensure design success. You will report to a product design leader.

  • You will develop the design strategy for Workflows
  • You will seek customer feedback as you evaluate solutions
  • You will work with Engineering, Product Management, and other product development stakeholders
  • You will collaborate with other designers to identify opportunities to use and extend design patterns across the platform
  • You will conduct user research and testing to validate design concepts and improve usability
  • You will create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas and concepts to stakeholders and development teams
  • You will develop an understanding of the Databricks platform and the role of Workflows features in the platform strategy, identifying opportunities to improve the user experience

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree in design, computer science, human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience creating usable and intuitive interfaces based a mixture of qualitative and quantitive research
  • Experience leading design workshops and presenting design solutions to executive teams
  • Familiarity with design systems and component libraries
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within a development team
