About the Team

At DoorDash, our customers are at the center of our product strategy and we believe that an amazing customer experience is the key to our success.

The DashPass and Affordability teams are responsible for thinking through the lifecycle of our customers, taking people from using DoorDash occasionally to helping them habituate on DoorDash. DashPass is on a mission to offer unbeatable benefits and affordability to our users. You will play a critical role in helping to define the future of DashPass as well as other efforts to help make DoorDash more affordable to everyone.

About the Role

As a Staff Product Designer on the team, you will be responsible for thinking about the overarching Consumer experience for key customer cohorts for DoorDash. You'll work on vision and system architecture projects thinking about the long-term product experience for the app. You will help deliver strategic initiatives, set product vision, and jump in to help teams execute. This is an opportunity to have impact across our entire consumer app.

You will report directly to the Head of Engagement on our Consumer Design team. The role can be based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, or New York City. This is a hybrid role, with some time in-office and some time remote.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Contribute directly to DoorDash's consumer product strategy and define the future of our service.
  • Explore complex, ambiguous problem spaces, working with your team to understand the opportunity, and then chart a path forward.
  • Explore and refine your design solutions through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual design.
  • Influence your team's approach to product development, shaping the team's culture, processes, and practices.
  • Improve the lives of millions of DoorDash customers every day.

We're excited about you because…

  • You are a staff or principal level designer with 8+ years of experience.
  • You are a role model for product quality and user-centric product development.
  • You are able to navigate, define and drive highly complex product architecture system changes.
  • You actively engage your teammates and proactively initiate new programs.
  • You're enthusiastic about collaboration and team-building.
