About this role
We are looking for a Content Designer, solid in both craft and strategic thinking,  who is excited to bring their skills to conceptualizing new products from the ground up as well as enhancing the value of our existing products. You will lead Content Design for our Cash product and work in lock-step with a cross-functional team end-to-end on all sizes of problems to deliver product experiences that inspire healthy financial behaviors and make money management effortless. 
You’ll collaborate very closely with cross-functional counterparts on product design, user research, product management, engineering, legal and compliance. You’ll leverage your content expertise to influence large and small decisions that lead to best-in-class client experiences while also leading to greater business impact. 
You must be exceptional at the craft of UX writing and care deeply about the details, but are also a systems-thinker. You’re interested in understanding client behavior and are motivated to craft content that speaks to clients emotionally, as well as rationally. You’re comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and can clearly articulate the rationale behind your decisions, or tradeoffs. You are proud of your copy docs and your figma files because they are emblematic of the love you have for your craft. 
You’ll be expected to identify and drive content-led initiatives that are relevant,  aligned with the product and company strategy, and are important priorities on the roadmap.
You should genuinely care for our mission to “build a financial system that favors people, not institutions” and be a zealous advocate for client needs. This genuine passion motivates you to proactively identify areas that require greater attention, bring solutions to address them and mobilize more people to prioritize the improvements.

Relevant experiences we’d like to see. Ideally, you have:

  • 5-6+ years of experience as an individual contributor
  • A collaborative mindset, with experience working across disciplines and with multiple stakeholders (ex: product and marketing managers, UX and visual designers, and engineers)
  • The ability to think strategically and shape the user experience overall, beyond just content
  • A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects across teams and navigate ambiguity
  • Confidence working in an iterative, agile environment, and can quickly tailor and design effective, appropriate content approaches within constraints
  • Experience working in consumer tech companies shipping exceptional quality products in a fast paced environment
  • A portfolio that demonstrates how a range of content challenges, solutions to which led to clear and streamlined customer experiences for web and mobile
  • Solid understanding of content standards and best practices for web and mobile interfaces
  • An eye for the details and an interest in the finer points of wordsmithery
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, etc
