Sr. Staff Product Manager, Data Privacy and Security

Success for this role is that enterprise customers consider Databricks as the platform that has the strongest confidentiality and integrity controls and trust Databricks to store and manage their sensitive data.

The impact you will have:

1. Define and deliver the core capabilities for the encryption and secrets management platform with a focus on:

• Simplicity for customers
• Low code / No code for developers integrating with the platform
• Best in class encryption with different scenarios like Service side / Client side encryption

2. Widespread adoption in regulated industries. The platform should open up new use cases and opportunities in regulated industries.

3. Foundation for secure data sharing. Sharing data securely would allow enterprise customers to collaborate with other organizations while still retaining tight control over confidentiality of their sensitive data.

4. Reference capabilities

• Customer Managed Keys
• Multi-tenant isolation with per tenant keys
• Trusted boot
• Secure enclaves
• Data access policies rooted in Key access

What we look for:

• Product Management experience (inbound, outbound, cross-functional processes)
• Strong background in encryption and key management, trusted boot, secure enclaves
• Data analysis and operationalization skills (SQL, rollups, building operational dashboards)
• Detailed understanding of infrastructure providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure
• Technical experience with platforms, APIs, SaaS architectures, including:
  • containers, micro-services & cloud services
  • Securely deploy cloud or SaaS-based enterprise applications

Nice-to-have Competencies

• Experience working with container technology, storage systems, and packaging options
• Software or other engineering background
• Experience working with Apache Spark, ETL, or data warehousing products
• MBA from a top program
