Sr. Product Manager, Trust & Safety

Trust & Safety at Vimeo plays a central role in sustaining the positioning of Vimeo as a robust, professional platform for high-quality video. Our customers must have confidence in our ability to maintain ecosystem standards to ensure behavior on the platform is constructive and high-quality content dominates. We protect our customers from bad actors looking to improperly profit from content not owned, anonymously post spam, or spread objectionable content such as hate speech. Customers must also have confidence in our ability to stay current within the evolving content and copyright regulatory environment. 

The Trust & Safety team at Vimeo is specifically responsible for content policy & moderation, account integrity protection, and legal & regulatory enforcement. We pride ourselves in our ability to anticipate and detect objectionable content and take it down quickly and in our ability to protect the integrity of accounts on the platform. We are looking for an experienced senior product manager who will take the lead in driving next generation solutions in this space. This person would be responsible for building automated systems that extinguish threats before they take root, architecting a robust data infrastructure to unlock proactive enforcement through rapid trend identification, and maintaining an updated suite of unified internal tools that enable efficiency, accuracy, and protect moderator wellness.

What you’ll do:

• Develop a compelling product vision that is built on top of a deep, data-driven understanding of customer and business needs in the Trust & Safety space.
• Roll up your sleeves, dig into the details, create requirements, and drive a steady cadence of improvements.
• Set a high bar for success, never accept the status quo, look for every opportunity you can find to innovate.
• Manage the execution of initiatives from solution through launch - engaging all the right teams at Vimeo along the way.
• Define metrics for success and failure and analyze and create dashboards for key metrics.
• Work cross-functionally throughout the organization, partnering with engineering, data science, customer service, legal, and more.

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

• 5+ years of experience in product management with a proven track record of successfully launching product solutions.
• 3+ years of experience with various aspects of Trust & Safety, preferably within user-generated content businesses.
• 3+ years of quantitative analytical experience, including the ability to analyze hard data, draw conclusions, and develop recommendations.
• Knowledge of the regulatory landscape around online safety and content rights management.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven self-starter with a bias for action, who can both execute and strategize, and who is comfortable with ambiguity.

Targeted Base Salary Range:  $134,000 to $195,000

The base salary range listed above is for candidates located in the U.S., including the New York City metro area.
