Zapier’s mission is to make automation work for everyone, make everyone more productive at work, and help teams supercharge their business processes. In our New Products group, we’re creating the innovative new tools that our customers need to make that happen.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who embraces fast-paced, startup-like environments where you get to lead through uncharted territories and use uncertainty to fuel innovation. You will partner closely with product and engineering partners to shape product strategy and vision for our Canvas product. You’ll shape vision, validate direction, and execute rapidly to deliver powerful new tools to customers.
We’re a globally distributed team, from New Zealand to the Americas, working together to make Zapier the trusted, go-to partner for business automation.

You stay close to customers: You talk with customers. You use their needs to inform your work. You use their feedback to shape solution ideas.

You balance instincts and research: You rely on intuition when needed and aren’t afraid to start with a solution. You have a strong sense around when and how to employ research methods.
You advocate for craft: You have delivered high quality visual designs in the products you work on. You work within a design system and also elevate the design system.
You focus on outcomes: You focus your team to achieve customer impact, measured by qualitative and quantitative measures.
You collaborate: You build strong relationships with engineers, product managers, and other designers to drive seamless and consistent progress on your product.
You’re curious and creative: You have a proven track record in B2B SaaS environments and a keen interest in the latest tech, design, and UX trends. You have the capacity to push the boundaries to create a product wholly unique to Zapier.
Deliver regular improvements: You’ll continuously improve our products through fast iterations to interactions, flows, and visual design, along with the delivery of new features.
Speak with customers: You’ll have direct contact with customers. Through direct conversations and slack groups, you’ll understand needs, share concepts, and turn feedback into action.
Validate new features: You’ll drive getting feedback on new product and feature ideas to help the team narrow in on the best path forward.
Lead your team: You’ll collaborate with product managers and engineering leaders to guide your team and ensure consistent execution.
Collaborate with other designers: You’ll work with the other Workflow Editor designers to design for the seams that fall between teams. You’ll work with them to make the whole experience exceptional.
Design systems: You’ll work within our design system, pushing its bounds where needed to get the intended experience outcomes.
