As Upshot's Sr. Product Designer, you'll be working to define the strategy and vision that guide the team in building great products and addressing real user needs. You will be working with our product managers, developers, and other designers to help shape innovative products and tools across platforms to create the very best experience for our users.

Responsibilities

Lead user experience and visual design of Upshot products, from conception to launch, in collaboration with Product
Raise the bar for Design at Upshot, actively pushing us forward in terms of usability, scalability, and discovery
Transform broad ideas into useful, valuable, scalable designs, while preserving brand voice and feel
Produce multiple concepts and prototypes, from near-term solutions to long-term aspirations, and help drive consensus towards a path forward
Maintain and grow Upshot's Design System, driving the evolution of Upshot's visual language, and defining interaction patterns through components, documentation, and prototypes
Communicate Design concepts and best practices with Engineering, understanding when further exploration is justified and when it is best to investigate a new approach
Collaborate with Product, where needed, on copy and content, user research and testing, and competitive benchmarking
Actively manage the Design backlog

Desired Experience & Skills

Experience designing for 20k+ users, within enterprise software or consumer software, across multiple platforms including web, Android, and iOS
Demonstrated Web3 product design experience, with both user experience and visual design
Experience leading multiple large and small projects, in terms of customer impact and scale (e.g. new features, greenfield products, and iterations on existing products)
Demonstrated experience in simplifying and communicating complex ideas and processes (e.g. crypto and NFTs) to broad audiences
Strong portfolio showcasing the simplification of complex workflows, excellent visual design, and successful implementation of Design Systems that: are usable by all stakeholders; have strong documentation; show a strong link between brand and product; demonstrate meticulous attention to interaction patterns and visual design
Excellent communication skills and collaborative spirit; commitment to continual improvement
High empathy for users and teammates; flexibility
Ability to manage competing priorities across Design, with Product
Experience with designing and managing design systems using Figma

(Nice to have) User Research experience
(Nice to have) Accessibility (A11y) design experience
