Sr Product Designer, Ideal Marketplace [Remote]

US/Canada-only - ET timezone full time - potentially Contract to Hire

They are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join us to guide the design of both consumer and business facing mobile and web apps spanning industries and geographies. They are looking for a self-starting, highly motivated Sr Product Designer to drive their efforts across Web and mobile creating a brand new offering - the Ideal Talent Marketplace for on-demand workers. This is an opportunity to come in on the ground floor of an exciting opportunity and design and build from the ground up with a tight-knit startup-like team. 

As a Sr Product Designer on a tight-knit team, you will work across a range of design practices, from up-front research, insights, and strategy, through to ideation, prototyping, and testing, and to delivery of final designs. They're not looking for ‘unicorns,’ who are expected to be brilliant at everything, but they do presume some comfort throughout the design process, and a desire to continually broaden and improve your skills.

Key to Product Design success is close collaboration with Product Managers and Engineers. Sr Product Designers are expected to be strong partners in this relationship, involved in prioritization, planning, and decisions along the way to execution.  

What You’ll Do

• Design the web experiences for their brand new Ideal talent marketplace
• Conduct upfront user research to better understand user needs and behaviors, and usability testing to see how your solutions work for users, with the support and guidance of UX Researchers
• Work with Product Managers and Engineers to plan roadmaps, gather requirements, and structure the work
• Present work, and articulate design decisions, to executives and other stakeholders
• Ideation and prototyping to explore different options, including unexpected, but still workable solutions
• Detailed design, built upon our client's Design System, that brings their solutions to life
• Contribute to their Design System as needed
• Advocate for Accessibility and Inclusive Design practices
• Support recruiting processes, reaching out to potential candidates, taking part in interviews

Desired Profile

• Has shipped multiple successful web-based products 
• Experience with B2B/SaaS preferred
• Comfortable with being self-directed; you don’t need someone guiding you through the design work
• Familiarity with user-centered and human-centered design approaches
• Of the following skills, Expert in one, Advanced in 2, and Proficient in 2: Interaction Design, Visual Design, Information Architecture, UX Writing, Conducting User Research, Research Insights and Analysis, Front-end Development
• Understands how design work connects with broader business value 
• Experience working in complex systems with multiple audiences and complicated workflows; enterprise SaaS a plus
• Familiar with Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices
• Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills
