Sr. Product Designer - Design Systems

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to drive and own key initiatives around our Sportsbook and Casino experiences, including developing and maintaining our new design system. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about new technologies and experiences, developing strategies based on the insights of real people, and a hands-on design leader elevating the design team through their craft and paving the way for innovation.

What You’ll Be Doing

Drive the evolution of the Fanatics Betting and Gaming Design System by helping to drive the roadmap and providing components, frameworks, documentation, prototypes, tooling, and guidance.

Helping to craft the vision for our design systems by identifying new opportunities and prioritizing enhancements

Work with Product Designers and Software Engineers to develop and ship the design system.

Write documentation and guidance on how and why components, styles, and patterns are applied in code and design.

Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts like workshops & design sprints in order to generate and evaluate creative solutions

Writing and maintaining UX documentation on design elements, patterns, layouts, and user flows, including usage guidelines and best practices

Quickly iterate and offer versions based on feedback from internal stakeholders and end users

Capture and think through logical/implementable solutions for edge-cases and unhappy paths for engineering teams to build out

Provide prototypes/deliverables to describe interactions and motion, using common prototyping tools

What You Bring to the Role:

You have six years or more of design experience creating and delivering products across a range of screen surfaces. Experience with consumer-facing entertainment and media products, large touchscreens, and TV apps is a huge bonus.

You have demonstrated experience creating and maintaining a cross device design system.

You’ll have a strong portfolio that showcases your work, provides details of your role on projects, and shows examples of systems thinking and design systems that you have developed from start to finish

You have experience conducting accessibility evaluations of components and/or page-level designs, excellent knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and a track record of advocating for accessibility improvements and prioritization.

You understand frontend code and the limitations of frontend technology and have a deep understanding of the needs of engineers you’ve worked with previously.

You are a teacher and like guiding others on best practices and latest techniques.

You are a proactive self-starter, systems thinker, comfortable with taking what is ambiguous and making it tangible by leveraging design thinking techniques like sense making and prototyping.

Proficient in Figma as well as other design and prototyping tools.

Open to regular travel to events and other Fanatics offices for various offsite and team meetings
