Sr. Product Designer

• Work with the product team to untangle complex problems in the construction tech space
• Create exploratory documents, user flows, designs, and prototypes
• Check in with your team regularly for feedback, and share thoughts at varying stages of fidelity and polish
• Hop on calls with our customers to review in progress design work, document feedback and apply it to future iterations
• Use analytic tools like Fullstory and Heap to inform elegant and intuitive design solutions
• Work closely with engineering to understand the challenges and realities of any proposed solution and make any needed refinements along the way
• Contribute to, maintain, and evolve our design system

What you bring to 1build:

• You have 6+ years of product design experience, some of which took place in startups or early stage companies
• You are a generalist with experience bouncing between user research, journey mapping, visual design, prototyping, and working closely with engineers to ship features
• You have a keen eye and an extremely high bar for visual design, but are able to put function first
• You approach projects pragmatically and are able to easily articulate your thinking along the way
• You are an outstanding over-communicator
• You have a basic understanding HTML/CSS/Javascript
• You have a portfolio of your past work detailing your involvement, your thinking,  problems you faced, and how you overcame them
