About the Team
We’re a group of people that love to learn, collaborate, and solve large-scale problems. 2022 is a big year for us, and we’re looking for a talented manager to join our team leading the efforts for our design system.
Your work will directly impact and influence the user experience of a product used by millions of people daily. As a Senior Manager of Product Design, you will work closely with other designers, engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

This position reports to the VP of Product Design.
What you'll do
- Lead the efforts on building the design system including a focus on accessibility requirements, efficiency, and localization
- Educate the product team on the value of using the system
- Create a roadmap and strategy for implementing the system with strong measurement and articulation of the benefit
- Manage and lead a growing and business-critical team of designers
- Mentoring individual contributor designers
- Inspire, empower and motivate designers to do the best work of their career. Help build a successful team by mentoring, coaching, and elevating others
- Continuous collaboration and process improvement with Design, Design Operations, Content, Research, Engineering, Product, and Business teams throughout the product life cycles
- Distill complex problems into digestible steps, and communicate proactively
- Contribute to the larger design team culture
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
- 10+ years of experience in Product Design. The ideal candidate has 4+ years experience in leading UX product design team with a focus on UI and system
- People-focussed, critical and strategic analytical thinker. Have led a growing team in a rapidly scaling complex organization.
- Successful track record of building and managing impactful, collaborative product design teams
- Experience presenting to stakeholders both progress, milestones, and value propositions for securing resources
- A visual design sensibility and attention to detail and industry trends
- Passionate and has ability to have deep technical discussions across key concepts
- Experience in complex workstreams spanning multiple teams and roles.
- Proactive and clear communicator with excellent analytical skills, facilitation, and organizational understanding.
- Highly collaborative and relentlessly customer-focused.
- Experience managing remote, geographically distributed teams is a plus.
- Deep thinker and natural communicator who can tell compelling stories that inspire action
