Senior Visual/UX Designer

The role:

We are seeking a talented Visual and UX Designer with a strong focus on visual design and prototyping to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning, on-brand interfaces, with a mobile-first mindset that set us apart from the competition. CookUnity is a chef-driven marketplace that empowers food creators to connect with customers through food and ultimately the digital experience. This role will re-think our visual and brand content strategy and be a bold thinker to help uncover the future of CookUnity UX!

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to deliver high-quality designs that enhance the user experience, highlight CU's value proposition, and achieve business objectives through user-centered design solutions. You will report to the Director of Product Design.

This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

Visual Design:

• Create visually compelling and user-centric designs that align with brand guidelines.
• Develop and maintain design systems to ensure consistency across platforms.
• Design high-fidelity mockups and user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Elevate the brand experience on the interface through visual and audiovisual resources.

Prototyping:

• Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate design concepts and user flows.
• Utilize prototyping tools to test and validate design solutions.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on feedback and user insights.
• Present prototypes to stakeholders and gather feedback for further improvements.

Key Initiatives:

• Work on key initiatives for different teams, leveraging visual and audiovisual resources to enhance the brand experience.
• Develop and maintain the design system to ensure consistency and scalability across all platforms.
• Contribute to a long-term vision for visual transformation, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation in design practices.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design with a strong focus on visual design and prototyping.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma.
• Strong portfolio showcasing visually stunning and user-friendly designs.
• Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
• Experience with creating and maintaining design systems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present design concepts to stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
