Senior Visual Designer

We’re hiring for a senior visual designer to join our visual design team! This person will work closely with the visual design lead and will be responsible for concepting and executing artwork for internal and external MongoDB applications. Since our updated brand refresh back in 2021, it is essential for this person to be able to uphold our updated brand with stakeholders as well as team members. As a senior member of this team, you will work closely with the visual design lead and frequently collaborate  with the brand design team to develop new assets, conceptualization and provide illustration and visual design support on major projects.

This job is based in North America and is fully remote. 

Sr Designer Expectations:

• Collaborate with the lead on design conception and execution
• Must be highly organized with presentations, Figma files, and Dropbox folders 
• Help the lead organize projects for the team
• Support Visual design Lead  on large projects like events, campaigns and marketing initiatives 
• Own stakeholder conversations and processes

Must haves:

• This role requires strong illustration skills as well as visual design acumen 
• The ability to show and explain ideas and concept through sketches and mood boards
• High communication skills to articulate design concepts and handle stakeholders, senior directors, execs and cross functional teams
• Excellent experience and skills using Illustrator
• Highly organized and process driven
• An open mind to learn, collaborate and educate others
• Presentation skills

Plus:

• Understand the importance of running and organizing meetings
• High problem solving skills
• Experience in Figma
