Senior UX Writer, Narration job at Spotify

We are looking for an experienced Senior UX Writer, Narration to join Spotify’s Personalization team. Our goal is to make every listening session more enriching through personalization and discovery. You will be leading the charge on developing and scaling our narration strategy throughout the experience. The content is why people come to Spotify—to be entertained, inspired, and informed. You'll help find innovative ways to combine our understanding of the world of music and podcasts with our ~500M users’ unique tastes, bringing fans an experience tailored uniquely to them, and help them find new artists they love.

Who You Are

Have extensive experience writing dialogue for visual or audio media (e.g., video games, radio, film, TV, social)
Know how to bring a character to life through the spoken word
Are comfortable with UX design
Enjoy collaborative team environments, and are able to absorb feedback and pivot as needed
Have an active interest in music and music culture, and are passionate about helping Spotify listeners find the right music for the moment
You have experience bringing new experiences to new markets and new languages
You have experience writing for various audiences with diverse sets of needs and wants
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Technology excites you! The newer, the better (Those robot animals don’t scare you)
Effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines
Diving into the tone of voice is something you’re passionate about

What You'll Do

You will work closely with writers and UX designers to scale your writing
You will write weekly commentaries for our Spotify recommendations products and experiences
You will explore working with new technologies such as LLM and contribute to building new products and software
You will work and collaborate with engineers to implement your writing at scale to millions of listeners

The United States base range for this position is 136,380.00- 194,828.00, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays. These ranges may be modified in the future.
