ABOUT THE ROLE

Peloton is seeking a Sr. UX Researcher to support the innovation, iteration, and optimization of our digital presence and ecommerce store. This Sr. UX Researcher will collaborate with Research, Product and Design teams to enhance the quality of the web acquisition experience in meaningful and valuable ways. They will use qualitative and/or quantitative research to strategize and improve features and experiences developed by the web acquisition and membership teams. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about user research, has subject matter expertise in the field and can lead multi-phased research studies across various acquisition workstreams.

Outside of prior user research expertise, success in this role is dependent on being highly self-motivated, super organized, open to feedback, a great presenter, and collaborative.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Collaborate directly with Researchers, Product Designers, Content Designers, Product Managers, Data Analysts and Engineers to define and align on research objectives and methodologies. 
  • Build and execute research plans, choosing efficient methodologies (qualitative and/or quantitative) to answer Product and UX research questions that produce new actionable insights. 
  • Regularly conduct discovery (user interviews, diary studies, surveys) and evaluative research (e.g., usability studies, concept evaluations, benchmarking, heuristic evaluations) on Peloton acquisition products, to identify pain points and ensure that the current experience is constantly improving. 
  • Define, design and implement moderated and unmoderated usability studies on flat designs, prototypes, beta, and finished digital experiences. 
  • Synthesize, present and tailor learnings to cross-functional stakeholders in a clear and actionable way to inform product design improvements. 
  • Create and socialize research studies through timelines and team status meetings. 
  • Work closely with Research Coordinators to define recruitment strategy, handle logistics and scheduling, and incentivize participants. 

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • 5+ years of UX research experience at a consumer-focused company. 
  • Can provide work samples focused on UX Research and details of how insights inspired meaningful change. 
  • Can work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. 
  • Have hands-on experience in discovery and evaluative research including writing and conducting user interviews, diary studies, surveys, and user testing of web experiences. 
  • Have hands-on experience in synthesizing research insights into a diverse range of outputs depending on stakeholder needs.
  • Have used UX research platforms to recruit participants and program, launch, and analyze results.
  • Have collaborated closely with UX Research Coordinators. 
  • Possess strong analytical, problem solving, and storytelling skills. 
  • Are a self Starter with the ability to act autonomously. 
  • Have constant attention to detail. 
  • Open to learning about and sharing new methodologies. 
  • Experience analyzing consumer web products is a plus
  • Experience working in an agile scrum team is a plus
  • Experience in health and fitness, gaming, or other related fields is a plus
