The UX Team at Calendly is a tight knit group of designers and content strategists who work closely with product management and engineering to craft amazing experiences for our users. We are looking for a Senior UX Researcher who is excited to use research to discover new product opportunities and improve our existing core product offerings. You’ll uncover, create, and share insights that will inform our product roadmaps and help the product team systematically find ways to improve the usability of Calendly over time. You’ll also have the opportunity to coach your cross-functional partners on planning usability studies for ongoing projects, ensuring that team members are adhering to best practices.

What are some of the high impact opportunities you'll tackle?

• Design and lead research that deepens our understanding of the user experience and drives company strategy of our core product
• Lead large, strategic research projects as well as smaller, evaluative projects 
• Advocate for users while understanding the business goals of Calendly
• Influence our developing research ops processes 
• Help us grow our UXR processes as we build the team out
• Coach cross-functional partners on research best practices 

This opportunity is for you if you have/are:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in UX Research (an advanced degree in Psychology, Sociology, Linguistics, Anthropology, or similar/related field can substitute for some of this experience)
• Deep understanding of different research methods, their limitations, and when each should be used (e.g. interviews, surveys, concept testing, usability testing, card sorting, tree testing, etc.)
• Expertise in qualitative methods (bonus points if you are comfortable in quant/a mixed-methods researcher, but not required)
• Strong knowledge of testing tools/platforms, and when each is appropriate
• Understand best practices and ethics when engaging with participants, to include data storage best practices, privacy considerations, and facilitation
• Comfortable presenting your work to all levels of the organization 
• You have an agile mindset and are comfortable in ambiguity, able to pivot and adjust your research plans if conditions change 
• You enjoy working closely with product partners to choose strategies that work for everyone
• Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
