Senior UX Researcher, Assessment

As a member of our growing Research team, you’ll be instrumental in creating a world-class practice that uncovers insights and shapes products that solve real customer problems. Lattice’s Research Team uses qualitative and quantitative research methods to cultivate a deep understanding of our customer to focus our shipmates on solving real customer needs and to align teams through data-informed decisions. We collectively chart the course ahead with curiosity, clarity and confidence that enhances people’s ability to find meaning at work

What You Will Do

You'll drive research for our Assessment Domain, which includes improving and expanding our most used product Reviews as well as defining new problems for us to solve in areas like Talent Management, and helping the Performance Platform team create unified experiences across the Performance space. Working closely with three pods of Designers, PMs, Engineers, you’ll identify the most impactful research questions, and develop effective ways to explore them to drive near and long term decision making.

Your responsibility will be to…

• Plan and lead both generative and evaluative research projects end-to-end 
• Apply your methodological toolkit to inform sound decision-making in a fast-paced environment 
• Clearly communicate and socialize research results to the right people at the right time and drive actionable recommendations that have real impact across the Assessment domain and Performance area.
• Support the growth of our research practice
• Collaborate with the other Performance Researchers and overall Research team on foundational research projects like Jobs to be Done 
• Contribute to scaling our Research practice by owning research practices like trainings, communications, etc. 
• Embody our team values, research principles, and standards for craft

What You Will Bring to the Table

• 5+ years of research experience: you've tackled complex workflows and systems, have worked across multiple product areas with many stakeholders, and enjoy sharing your findings with your cross-functional teammates.
• A strong point of view: You ground your research priorities in strategic and tactical needs that will drive customer and business value, directly influencing the product roadmap.
• Comfortable with ambiguity: You independently identify research opportunities, scope the work effectively, and advocate to bring the project to life. You're also no stranger to the messy middle of the work, converging/diverging, choosing methods, and assessing constraints and risk.
• Proactive, ownership mindset: you proactively identify opportunities to improve the utility, usability, and desirability of business-critical product experiences.
• A hunger for collaboration: you do your best work when partnering cross-functionally and believe that research shouldn't be left to one team, but should be a company-wide practice.
• A great communicator: You are clear and concise with your stakeholders and partners, keeping them up to date on your plans and what you are learning in an efficient and organized way. 
• Familiar with our structure: You have prior experience working in an in-house Research team and have worked in an embedded capacity.
