Role overview:

As a Senior UX Designer for PlayStation Partners, you will build amazing tools that empower internal and external parties to create and publish PlayStation software for sale on disc through retail and digitally via the PlayStation Store. Located in the heart of London’s Soho district, you will partner with a cross-functional team of product managers, researchers, writers, engineers, and business partners to ideate and craft experiences that both delight our users and define the next generation of partner experiences. The PlayStation partner platform supports the submission of product metadata, game content, sales and promotion information required to publish PlayStation software. This role will play an important part of getting our publishers and developers content to consumers with as little effort and time as possible!

What you'll be doing:

  • Design high-level and detailed wireframes, screens, and prototypes to communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Balance design-related requirements during the feedback and iteration cycle
  • Partner with UX research to gauge the usability of new and existing products and make constructive suggestions for change
  • Communicate clearly and concisely through technical specifications
  • Work closely with Engineering, Product Planning, UX Writing and Research, Senior Management, and regional business stakeholders throughout all stages of the product cycle
  • Ensure that the design vision is carried through accurately during the development process
  • Design solutions balancing user needs and business goals
  • Drive quality of design forward

What we're looking for:

  • 6+ years of experience as an UX/Interaction Designer or a similar role
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating leading product teams through the product thinking process.
  • Skilled at translating very complex requirements into simple solutions
  • Proficiency in visual design principles including typography, layout, and UI.
  • Expertise using industry-standard design/prototyping software
  • Strong ability to champion and communicate design ideas using sketches, flow diagrams, wireframes, hi-fidelity screens, and prototypes in a cross-functional team environment
  • Able to become an expert on your assigned products, gauge the usability of new products and features, and make constructive suggestions that aid in their ideation and development
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills

Additional requirements:

  • Familiarity with platform UX design standards and guidelines.
  • Experience working on enterprise applications is a plus
  • Knowledge of movie, music, and video game service and software industries is a plus
